Black Mountain

The Grounds.

The Grounds.  12 acres of New England mountainside are available to you and your guests.  Streams and ponds for fishing, gardens and wooded areas for exploration, a heated outdoor pool, and many other activities create that “home away from home” experience in the mountains.

The Pond. Our 1 acre stocked trout pond is available to your guests. Stocked with rainbow trout from 10-16″, your guests will have free access to canoes, kayaks, fishing poles, tackle boxes, and bait. Why not consider a fishing derby? The Firepit. Located on our front lawn, a firepit is available with free firewood and several Adirondack chairs sitting on our 18′ X 18′ brick patio.

The Picnic Area. Rebuilt in 2013 and set next to a beautiful rolling stream, this amenity provides the perfect setting for a Welcome BBQ or Rehearsal Dinner. With 80′ under cover, a built in bar, attached wood fireplace, and horseshoe pits, what a great way to start off the weekend for you guests!

Ceremony Sites

Front Lawn Ceremony Area. Conveniently located just off the main inn, this area is a short distance for guests to walk. The Front Lawn site will accommodate up to 250 guests surrounded by beautifully landscaped grounds. An enchanting white birch arbor and brick patio provides a stunning setting for exchanging vows.

Hillside Ceremony Area. ( not pictured) Nestled atop the mountainside of our property, the HIllside site encompasses stunning views of the White Mountains. Under a white birch arbor with a backdrop of rolling mountains, this site will give you and your guests a timeless wedding experience while exchanging vows. White plastic chairs are typically used for this area and a shuttle service is recommended for your guests to get back and forth. There is a fee of $250 for this ceremony area with accommodations of up to 120 guests.

Woodland Ceremony Area

Woodland Ceremony Area. Our most popular ceremony area across the street from the main inn, is like a walk through an enchanted forest. Your guests will cross a wood bridge above a stream welcoming them to sewn lumber benches and beautiful birch trees, accommodating up to 150 guests. A 200 foot bridal path leads your bridal party through the forest and up to the old, stone hearth, the backdrop for exchanging vows.
