Executive Chef Keith Cowan came to Whitney’s Inn after 13 years at the Tavern At River’s Edge in Exeter, NH. Traditional cuisine garnished with fresh ingredients and thoughtful preparation delivers a magical experience for any guest. Keith’s experience and creativity captures the essence of dining in the mountains.
With over 20 years experience in the restaurant and dining industry, Chef Keith will accommodate a customized menu or select ingredients providing you with a menu suitable for any style of dining.
Many venues now require that you host your rehearsal dinner if you’re having your hosting your wedding with them. We do not but that doesn’t mean we wouldn’t like to. We have specific menus targeted towards rehearsal dinners and welcome receptions. You can go simple with pizza and salad, offer one of our two BBQ menus, entice them with a classic buffet, or wow them with the Whitney’s Inn pig roast! Prices range from $17 to $36 per person. We also have a rustic picnic area just across the street from the main inn, which has 80’ of overhead coverage, built in bar, stone fireplace, horseshoe pits, and lighting for partying after dark. It offers the perfect venue for keeping your guests here all weekend.
Whitney’s Inn offers both breakfast and dinner options for guests staying multiple days. Although we do not offer lunch, there are several great places within a short drive…or we can order a lunch tray for you. Our breakfast consists of eggs to order, omelets, waffles, pancakes, French toast and much more. The cost is $8 per guest or $6 is if you ask for the bed and breakfast rate. We also offer brunch options.
The Shovel Handle Pub offers dinner options with upscale American pub food starting at 5PM. The pub schedule varies with seasonality but check www.shovelhandlepub.com for days and hours.
