The Barn.

At Whitney’s Inn, our beautifully restored post and beam style barn, built in 1842, is the epitome of New England charm.  Original cow stanchions still hang inside along with artifacts from when Moody Farm was in working order.  The rustic decor and elegant atmosphere offer a stunning backdrop for your wedding reception.

Twinkle lights cascade throughout the three stories of the barn as well as an incredible stone fireplace which brings warmth and comfort to this historical venue.  This charmingly aged barn graciously compliments any style when embellished with tablescapes, candles, and decorations creating a setting for that timeless mountain wedding.

The Shovel Handle Pub, also known as the Barn at Whitney’s (sorry, we like both names), offers a unique post and beam barn experience for your wedding reception. With twinkle lights wrapped around the beams, it literally sparkles at night and your guest will experience the wow factor when they walk in for dinner. With three levels of dining within an open floor concept, it offers seating for up to 140 guests. The bar level makes for a spacious dance floor for after dinner and we always have two bartenders on staff with no waiting for drinks. Many of our weddings come to us via word of mouth because of the great food, the accommodating staff, but mostly because people just love the barn!
